About cores For our PatternPly Transparent items, your target pattern is applied to the core of your choice. For a visual, please see the following video:
All sheets are 12 x 19" except the 12 x 18" Leatherette. If you need your sheets cut smaller to fit your laser bed, please leave a note on the order at checkout and we will gladly cut the sheets in half, for example.
A note about specific cores Note about clear acrylic and flex options: Any PatternPly ordered on clear cores is two sided, meaning you can see the color or pattern from both sides. One side of the sheet will be a matte version of the image the other side of the sheet will show the image, pattern, or solid color coming through the clear acrylic. For a better visual of this, please watch here and/or here .All full coverage patterns and solid colors are opaque. If you are looking to make suncatchers, those products can be found in the Transparent PatternPly collection and will have the word "transparent" in the product name.
Any item ordered on clear acrylic and flex WILL have the background as pictured in the photo. If you do not want a background color and instead want clear spacing between the images, please view the PatternPly® Scattered collection .
Note about the 1/8" mirrored acrylic options ONLY: The one-sided option will have your desired pattern on one side and PatternPly® Solid BLACK on the back side. Only the patterned side is engravable to see the mirrored/metallic core. The two-sided option will have your desired pattern on BOTH sides. Only one side is engravable to see the mirrored/metallic core, even with the two-sided option. This engravable side will be noted on your sheet. Unlike our other acrylic offerings, the mirrored acrylic cores use an extruded acrylic. All the other acrylic cores are cast acrylic.
Note about the leather: This is a natural leather and is only offered one sided. The back side will be white in color and have the typical unfinished look/feel you expect from the back side of natural leather. The leather is laser safe.
Note about leatherette: All leatherette sheets are 12 x 18"
One sided vs. two sided
If you choose one-sided, the back of your sheet will be the raw core material. For example, that solid white on black acrylic core will be white on one side and raw black acrylic on the other. If you choose two-sided, both sides of the sheet will be your selected color. For example, the solid white on black acrylic core would be white on both sides with the black acrylic core sandwiched in between. Clear cores are only available two sided. For clear cores, one side of the sheet will be a matte version of the image the other side of the sheet will show the image, pattern, or solid color coming through the clear acrylic.

This sheet features a micro purple Dia de Los Muertos pattern with a glassy, see-through look. The colors are translucent, so light passes through them. This micro version uses a much smaller repeat than the standard design.
