Diode Friendly! We've tested and successfully cut this acrylic using both 6W and 40W diode lasers. Because every laser is a bit different—with variations in power, speed, and setup—we don’t provide specific cut or engrave settings. We encourage you to test and dial in your machine settings with this material, starting with your laser manufacturers recommended settings for acrylic.
We work very hard to get all standard wood orders placed before 1PM EST out the same or next business day. Exceptions include PatternPly® presale orders, custom orders and orders placed during new releases, flash sales, or during peak holiday season (mid-November to mid-December).
P-95 black in 1/16" is very difficult to find anywhere, so I was relieved when I found it here. The only downside is that the matte side has the awful white paper masking that, for some reason, affects my engraving settings I typically use with the brown paper masking. I have to change the power and speed settings a bit as well as do two passes instead of the typical one pass that works on the brown masking, because I don’t get clean lines if I don’t. Only the white masking ever causes this problem. I’m not sure why the back side includes the preferred brown paper mask and the front has been swapped out for the inferior white masking (unless it’s to disguise who the manufacturer is) but having to take twice as long to engrave because of doubling the amount of passes is a real time waster when performing dozens of engravings on one sheet. I knocked one star off this review because of this. If this featured the brown masking on both sides, I would buy up their entire supply. Aside from that, this is quality P-95 in a generous size for a fair price and it’s quite thick for 1/16”. It was also packaged extremely well and shipped promptly.
